The Divide Between Clarity & Fog In Philosophy

How you differentiate between a clear mind and the fog of the everyday brain can rightly determine your ability to think and process stuff. Going through different circumstances and trials will really be the proving ground of anyone who is struggling. But the important part to remember is that there are so many different schools of thought on the topic of struggle and why it happens to so many people.

The biggest thing to remember is that just because it did happen, is that it's not a "deserved" issue, but rather a circumstance that came on our life at this time

The many schools of thought in the worldly realm of philosophy is many fold, where their roots is really anyone's guess, but we will focus on the main two differences in this blog post. These two seperate philosophies can be divided into Christain and Non-Christian beliefs, with one proving that God is in control and in our corner. The other is the belief that there is no God, which is their steadfast belief that they will hold to be true; but only until they either accept Jesus Christ into their life or go to hell.

This is where I need to hit the brakes and make a strong statement: Christian or Unbeliver it doesn't matter, we will ALL meet God. The sad belief that is held by so many will also be the ultimate nightmare for so many lost souls.

Philosophy is so very important to get right, as it can be a powerhouse for those writing blogs, sermons, and these Devotional Corner posts like myself. This is where I must use God's Word as well. The aforementioned Clarity Versus Fog issue is brought on by two deeply rooted beliefs in our society. As in my earlier post, What Is Your Leading Line?, I mentioned needing to be in God's Word a lot. We take a risk of going down the wrong trail in the picture of life and different beliefs. It is like the hiking metaphore: you're lost but one guy says it's this way, and sounds so very convincing! So with that fuzzy feeling, off you go down the path only to find it is something much worse than you wanted. If we read the wrong leading lines and listen to the wrong people, our souls will more than likely go down the wrong path......but bear with me friends. I'm not saying that it's final: anyone can give their hearts to Jesus Christ and go to Heaven. It's just that we MUST carry a grain of salt with us when we read or listen to anyone talking about this topic, including myself.

There is one thing that I must not forget to be honest about, and that is to say that I am not going to sit here and write this post, and act like this is the final say so. This post and all the other Devotional Corner posts are for encouragement and guidance, not to repalace the Bible.

How many of us enjoy looking outside at the fog in the morning, drinking a hot cup of coffee, and finding peace it the stillness? That is me and its where I find peace and quiet. But that very same fog is what causes really bad accidents to happen, since we cannot see. We need the sun to burn through the fog so we can see where we are going. I rememeber vividly driving on the Shenandoah National Park Drive and seeing the fog so thick I had to pull off the road. Sometimes the leading lines get so blury with the fog, noise, distractions of life that we must pull off the road off life and really wait. Taking time for Jesus Christ to burn off the fog of life in our heart, soul and mind will give us clarity and a new heart. That is the singular most important decision that we will ever make in our life.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
