Getting Out Of The Office & Refreshed.

As a small business owner, wildlife photographer and author in the

Shenandoah Valley area, there is one thing that I truly appreciate about this wonderful area. The history that is cloaked by an incredibly beautiful mountain range and an extensive valley system. The wildlife is quite abundant and thriving, as seen on the Shenandoah Valley today when I went up there today and saw some crazy fog being blown up the mountain, deer along the drive grazing, and the turkey pair that were out and about today.

It truly is a blessing to have lived in the state of Virginia since '98, while gaining a desire for the outdoors and the peace and quiet that comes with it. This wildlife photography really took off after my uncle Frank got me going with a new Canon Rebel T3i camera. I have really taken off with this and turned it into a business. But along the way, I started writing blogs that turned into the Devotional Corner posts on my website. Filled with biblical encouragement, my thoughts and verses, I hope they help someone someday.

But with all that being said, I must admit that today was such a blessing ass I was able to get some cool shots of a deer and some turkey, even after I almost went the opposite direction: Waynesboro versus Front Royal. With a day starting out in the valley at 73 degrees, it was a beautiful 61 degrees at the highest elevation: 3,350 feet up. windy, cool and I could still see for miles despite the thick fog in some areas. I will post a photo down below that I took today of a white - tailed deer. It's always tricky finding these as they are still elusive even on the mountain where hunting is banned.

How often are we reminded of the verse we should all know, Psalm 42:1

"As the hart pant after the water brooks, so pant my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirst for God, for the living God: when shall I come". We all struggle somehow with things in our life, but as I was reminded today, we all pant, but do we call for the real Water?
