Faith Verses Religion

To sit here and say that I'm religious and that you must follow this form of rules and decisions made by man....I would rather say that I'd feel the opposite and really want to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and want to do what God desires. He wants for you and I to yearn for that strong relationship with Him, and know that He is just and fair. To have that faith is to have a promise of eternal salvation and forgiveness from our sins.

I cannot sit here and say that even though I have a faith in Jesus Christ and I don't follow religion....that be it will be perfect. There's nothing in the Bible to say that life will be perfect based on whether or not your religious over faith-based. You cannot force a faithful relationship with God on anyone, yet so many people will try to do their absolute best to try and force religion on everyone.

Faith is relationship based while religion is rule-based forcing it on everyone.

The many different so called religions in the world are based on man-made rules and regulations. While so many people abide by these rules to the T, some whole heartedly believe that they are saved and have that perfect halo. But for me to be completely honest with you, I must state the sad truth that these errant beliefs are nothing more than actions and chants.

A little personal backstory about my journey to religion and walking away from lies and confusion....to walking to real faith and the truth.

There was a time when I personally experienced myself walking away from a group that was saying it was all religion, faith and talking in tongues. I saw it as being possessed and controlled by some high power. When I was younger....due to lies, demands, and painful confusion. ...I decided it wasn't for me. Skip ahead years later and I'm now have been saved by a faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The beautiful lady I met whole I was still in darkness was the one the Lord used to bring me to church. And I must say it was a couple great men who showed me the truth.

We must come to faith and a relationship with Jesus Christ and a promise of forgiveness and salvation, bought by Jesus Christ and His time on the cross. That is the best description of faith and dedication, which is never going to be found in the many religions.

It's a personal choice and decision we make every day.
