A Constant Fire

Warming freezing hands and cooking food and boiling coffee is just a few things mankind has been using fire to accomplish. There's nothing else that feels so incredibly good soaking that heat into your bones and heart. Listening to the crackling of a will certainly bring warmth to any melancholy soul.
But what about using fire as a guide as well as a signaling system? The native American Indians used it to create smoke signals to communicate between different tribes...... usually to signal herds of buffalo or something else. Mankind has also used fire to split rocks and boulders. There's been many different uses of fire as a tool and a weapon. But there are two absolutely incredible yet distinctly powerful different ways it is mentioned in the Bible.
As we read the Bible it can become very important to notice that both God and Jesus Christ talk about fire in three different contexts:
As a guide.....Psalm 119:105 your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Secondly as a all consuming fire in hell.. Matthew 25:41 Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."
Then as a rock that will never be split and that is the Lord Jesus Christ....Psalms 71:3 - 3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
As mentioned above there are choices that we make that insure our chances of seeing either one of the three above mentioned fires. We can either trust God to guide us as a lamp or to casts into the firey hell. Give Him your heart and soul, asking for Jesus Christ to come into your life.... and you will be forgiven and receive salvation. Deny Jesus Christ and ignore His commandments and gift of salvation..,your sadly headed to hell. Trust God and dwell in the protection of the Rock.
So what is your fire like?
Is there a lamp unto your feet or a fire consuming your soul and body?
Is Jesus Christ in your heart saving you?
Jesus Christ's salvation and forgiveness and strength to face difficult times is absolute, permanent and eternal.
So is hell which is torment, misery, incredibly scary and unforgiving.
What is your "Rock"?

Psalms 18:28-36
28 You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
29 With your help I can advance against a troop ; with my God I can scale a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
31 For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?
