What Is Real Rest?

What is the authentic meaning of rest? It is straightforward to define as ceasing to work and catching one's breath, yes. But what is the true definition of genuine, profound, and sincere rest?

1. Stop

2. Take in your surroundings

3. Quiet three things: Mind, Brain, Heart

4. Listening

5. Hearing sounds of nature

6. Trusting Jesus Christ

7. Prayer

It is to simply stop, take in your surroundings, and quiet one's mind, brain, and heart. Listening to God and hearing His voice is also rest. Trusting in God's plan and mercy is a resting place to be, regardless of how chaotic it may seem. The Hands of God are the safest place to be, as He will never forsake you.

Mark 6:31: "Then, because so many people were coming and going... [Jesus] said to them, 'Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.'"

So much time is wasted by so many people that use apps, noise, and chaotic excuses as ways to rest and reset. Prayer is not an app, but is a way to speak to God, giving Him all of our busy-ness, worries, and fears. Have you ever been so desperate to hear and receive all the peace and healing that He offers? Prayer and rest are synonymous with essential workings as well as our innate survival instincts. We don't need nonsense to escape the noise, but nonsense is in the daily life of so many people.

Are you ready to rest, reset and give Jesus Christ your unrest?

Give him your your willingness to rest in His Almighty Hands!

Exodus 33:14: "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
