Living Water And Desires

Updated: Jul 23

As the sun rises in the morning so beautiful as a pastel on the clouds, we can rejoice for another day. Another beautiful day living in beautiful Shenandoah valley and beyond. Some days are spent thirsty hot and often cranky..... wishing for some water and a reprieve from the heat that's well known around here. Everyone wants a break from heat and thirst, yet only those that find the Living Water find true refreshment.

So you may rightly ask me what are you talking about this Living Water? Folks don't expect this to come from me, but I will show you from Whom you may receive this. The term "living water" isn't actually wet visible liquid per say but it's a gift from Jesus Christ and God the Father. It is a precious gift of salvation, forgiveness, life and strength. How often do you feel so much better when you drink water....but never truly satisfied? That's because you satisfied that Desire Of The Flesh and not the Desire Of The Soul .

I'm going to be honest with you..... in order to be hydrated ( given true life) and satisfied (be forgiven) you must choose wisely. You must make a decision on what you're true happiness is based on.....and where your refreshing water is really coming from. Is it Living Water or is it temporary relief and eternal death. You can only live so long without water, so how much more important is Jesus Christ's gift of Living Water?

Desires are very much a fleeting part of life yet so many people are easily swayed to please the wrong ones. To be desirous of the worldly or fleshly things is death....but to be desirous of the truth and that Living Water is life. We have to be careful with which one we choose to refresh and from whom we receive that water....is it Living Water or something that sends us no true reprieve.

  1. What is your water like?

  2. What are your desires going to result in?

  3. What are you pursuing for refreshment?

John 7:38 KJV ... He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

***In the biblical times "Belly" could translate as Innermost being"***
